Personnel: Electrical Engineer: Mechanical Engineer: Status: A protective covering for the antema has been fabricated from C lock-foam; it appears to, have some effect on the overall VSWR E F. when in direct contact with the radiator. To correct this difficulty, it was found that a slight air gap between the covering and the etched sheet radiator reduced this effect. The overall VSWR is still somewhat higher than desired, but is within the specified sssimua value. Future Plans: Measures eats will be made on this latest structure with and ? without epoxy paint on the protective cover to determine the effects of the paint on the performance of the antenna.
