I were briefed by the 25X1 Registrar on the organization, mission, and functions of the Office of Training. B. The White House Seminar for Summer Employees is scheduled for 1230, 4 August. Some 10,000 applications were received, thus a quota system is necessary for this session as well as the first. C. Mr. of George Washington University visited with us on 29 July at which time plans for the Fall Off-Campus Program were firmed up. Mike is very helpful and cooperative and much of the success of our on Off-Campus Program is due to his efforts on our behalf. D. On 27 July I advised) DDS Training, that the 25X1 Office of Training would have no candidates for the 7 September running of the Advanced Intelligence Course. E. our nominee for the Department of Defense Systems Analysis course, has been notified of his acceptance in the program. He has been directed to report to the Institute for Defense Analysis (IDA), 400 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, Va. on 2 August to begin his year's training. During the week we received and forwarded his academic transcripts from the University of 25X1 Rochester, University of Michigan, and Harvard University.. F. A course is 25 hours long; to date, three have been given. E. Two new charts to be used for information on Training Selection Board programs are now mounted on the wall of office. These replace the single chart formerly used and we believe it will be a more effective "tickler" for nomination deadline dates on TSB courses and programs. The charts were prepared by the Visual Aids Section /SS/TR. were most helpful in advising us of the kinds of charts available and we received prompt service.
