This report is a partial answer to DIA re-
quirement DIAXX 63-84, to verify the location
of selected military installations in Hungary and
to perform a photo analysis to determine func-
tion, number and dimensions of buildings, to
estimate troop capacity, to identify and describe
related training areas and facilities, and to con-
firm or negate ammunition and POL storage.

confirmed the information and revealed no new
construction. The selected military instal-
lations in Szekesfehervar have a total troop
capacity of 10,761.*
The installations described below are shown
in Figure 1.
Szekesfehervar Army Barracks Zamoly No 2
Troop capacity: 1,008
This military installation located on the
north edge of Szekesfehervar covers approxi-
mately 69 acres and contains:
3 two-story barracks buildings, each 210
by 40 feet, a total of 50,400 square feet
of floor space
I H-shaped two-story administration
building, the base 280 by 55 feet and the
wings 190 by 40 and 170 by 70 feet
1 two-story administration building 140 by
40 feet, a total for the two administration
buildings of 81,000 square feet
2 storage buildings, each 115 by 70 feet, a
total of 16,100 square feet
*Troop capacity is computed on a basis of 50 square feet
of space per man.
Ammunition Storage Area
A related ammunition storage area located
1,500 feet north-northeast of the above barracks
area covers 1.8 acres and contains:
3 revetted ammunition storage buildings,
each 50 by 35 feet, a total of 5,250
square feet.

This military installation located 1,000 feet
southeast of the center of Szekesfehervar covers
approximately 98 acres and contains:
10 three-story barracks buildings, one 300
by 50, four 200 by 50, and five 140
by 45 feet
3 one-story barracks buildings, each 250
by 40 feet
12 two-story barracks buildings, one 225
by 60, one 170 by 50, one 120 by 60, two
115 by 45, four 85 by 45, and three 70
by 55 feet, a total for the 25 barracks
buildings of 422,300 square feet of
floor space
2 three-story administration buildings,
each 230 by 55 feet

12 barracks buildings of 65,350 square
feet

1 vehicle shed 190 by 70 feet
9 miscellaneous support buildings ranging
from 110 by 70 to 20 by 20 feet
no observed ammunition or POL storage.
