Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2011/04/27: CIA-RDP78BO4747AO01000020018-7 ? `.:;SECRET 9 64 Washington, D. C. Attn: 1. Based upon our recent visit to San Diego is 25X1 convinced that the area fully meets program requirements for targets. Specifically, there exists in San Diego a multiplicity of the required seven targets and a good selection of ancillary targets within a very few miles of the primary target complex. During the visit we were made cognizant of frequent low altitude (700 - 800 feet) stratus clouds. At that time these clouds generally formed in late evening and burned off around 10 kM. YHis situation is forecasted by persons familiar with the area to improve during the scheduled. operations period. 2. Primary targets were examined and confirmed as follows: a. Airfield - Lindbergh Field (municipal airport) Contact Manager. Ground station in 25X1 Southeast corner of airport. b. Railroad yard - Santa Fe freight yard (Beardsky Street and U. S.
