SUBJECT: Proposal for Development of Improved Version of
Model 603 Light Table. Proposal No. 603A
is pleased to submit herewith our
proposal for the development of a simplified light table
fulfilling your Design Objectives of February 28, 1967.
The main objective of this program is to use the
basic design of the present Model 603 Light Table and simplify
same such that upon completion and with proper tooling the
production costs of the table would be in the general neighbor-
Our proposal is submitted on the basis of receipt
of a cost plus incentive fee contract. Cost analysis sheet
on this basis is attached. The incentive fee would. be based
upon both performance and cost. The minimum fee proposed is
8%. The maximum fee would be 15%. On costs, any under-
run or overrun would be split on a 85-15 basis with the cus-
tomer. Performance would be based upon target fee of 10%
for average performance; 13% for excellent performance, and
15% for superior performance.
Delivery of the production prototype unit would
be six (6) months after receipt of a formal go ahead. Final
payment 'of the equipment would be made 30 days after delivery
and acceptance. Acceptance period should not exceed 30 days.
This proposal shall remain valid for sixty (60) days from
the date of this letter.
