REFERENCE POINT:
The Kremlin, 55-45N 37-37E.
LOCATION:
27 nm northwest of reference point.
FUNCTION:
One of a group of sites deployed for the defense of Moscow.
SITE STATUS:
Probably complete and operational.
REMARKS
This is the first known photographic coverage of Herringbone SAM
Site C-32.
The site is located in a wooded area on the inner herringbone
defense ring. It is regularly shaped except for a section of
service road that curves in order to avoid a small lake.
Although not all the service roads are discernible on the small-
format photography, Site C-32 probably has 60 launch points.
A YO-YO radar site and housing for the SAM site have been
identified.
