Kimry (N 56 54, E 37 18)--100 to 150 Germans formerly employed by Siebel
and Junkers work here. Chief of the group was Theodor SCHMIDT. No other
names known. Approximately half of this group was returned to East Germany
in the spring of 1952.
Krasnogorsk (N 55 51, E 37 19)--Optical plant. "Zorki" cameras are made
here. Former Zeiss (Jena) employees work under Dr. ILLGEN. Other Zeiss
employees work at an institute in Leningrad.
Leningrad--Gyroscope specialists: MUMERT, BOEGEL. Some former Leuna
(chemical company) employees are in Leningrad; others are somewhere in
the southern part of the USSR.
Morino (North Moscow)--Radio guidance rcraft rockets under the
Ministry for Communications. BUCKBECK
Sverdlovsk (in Urals)--Two specialists are here from AEG (Allgemeine Elektrische
Gesellschaft) in Berlin.
