Wejherowo (September 1953)
One naval engineer unit, strength apprdimately 1,000 men, is stationed
in the buildings of the former "Zaklad Krajowy"., the Emigrant t s Home,
and. the Approved School (sic).
One Polish inantry unit is stationed On Krakowska highway,, on the grounds of the
former transit' camp for Germans returning; from the USSR; there are 24 hutments,
each approximately 80 meters long=

A Polish infantry unit` and some artillery, are stationed in former German
barracks of the SSA, qt_ a distance of 1 1/2 km' from the Lebork station., on the right

An officers' school for "Katyusha" specialists is located. in former German barracks
. t ounc-ssituated beyond the Schichau workers' settlement. Students -of this
school zxaist sign a special pledge to observe service secrecy.
The f ormer German airfield in Elblag, located near the railroad factory., is now
being expanded for use by jet aircraX.t.. At the moment, there are bombers and
Polish military training planes at this airfield. Four soviet Air Force officers
were seen leaving the airfield, which is controlled by the' Polish Army,

In September 1953 preliminary work on the levelling of the ground was started
near Pszcz.olkit in the district of Tezewo Workers employed on this job commute
from 'czew and Pszczolki.

Grabowe1; Naval engineers, 150 mm, artillery, and antiaircr `t artillery
units are stationed in Grabowek on the grounds of the former emigrant's Camp in

%yierzyn .ec" (Zoo), is surrounded with a fence and occupiea by the army..
Since l9~l ferro-concrete work has been in progress in th.s"wood area and excavations
e be?. dug in the hills within the area of the wood.

we Oboerved arrtt from the direction of Gdynia and entering. the "Zwierzyniec"
wood, (There was a single-track siding there, dating from 939) The transports
were es',orted by Soviet soldiers. It is not known that the transports containedp
since the cans were mostly covered, and. flatcars were tied over *ith tarpaulin.
