preliminary planning for 1955.
There was an extremely serious shortage of skilled workers at VEB Schiffselektrik
Rostock (Rostock Marine Electric Nationalized Plant) which affected the entire
shipbuilding program and made it impossible, in most cases, to meet the target
for the electrical equipment of the new ships as well of the repairs. Efforts
made for weeks to overcome this shortage of skilled workers have proved as
unseccessful as ever.
