SUPPLEMENT TO REPORT NO. THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 25X1 1. The following air activity and aircraft were observed at Peenemuende airfield between 9 and 29 November 1954: 8 and 9 lovember. There was no air activity. 10 November. Between 1050 and 1145, 3 MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s individually took off at intervals of about 2 minutes. Two aircraft practiced firing at a duamy on the landing field. They approached at an angle of 45 degrees and fired 2 or 3 rounds. Then the aircraft climbed and made another approach from the same direction. At the same time, the third aircraft practiced diving, fell off on its left wing, and after diving climbed at a steep angle. The aircraft landed individually at 1145. 11 and 12 November. No air activity was observed. 13 November. At 0815, 10 MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s were towed by a tractor to the run*.y. Beginning at 0845, individual take-offs and local flights were made. At 0900w an element of 2 MiG-15s or U-M0-15s took off. After 0905, 4 take-offs in elements of two were made in rapid succession The elements headed west. At 1145, 8 MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s landed individually. No additional air activity was observed. 15 November. Ten MiG-15s or U-MiG-15e were again towed to the runway by a tractor. The only air activity observed during the day began at 1705, when two MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s took off and made a short local flight. At 1720, the 10 aircraft were towed back from the runway. 16 November.. Beginning at 0830, a number of MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s were towed onto the runway. Individual swept-hack jet fighters took off at 0900. 0903 and 0920, elements of 2 aircraft took off at 0910 and 0914. All of the aircraft headed west/ One element of 2 aircraft remained on the runway. The individual landings were made after 1015. At 1215, 2 Li-2e were observed on the runway. One Li-2 took off at 1515. 17 November. Air activity was heard after 0800 but no observations could be egde because of p V ity. One Li-2 took off at 0905. At 0815, 12 MiG-15s or U-MIG-15s were parked on the runway. At 0830, 3 swept-back jet fighters took off at intervals of 3minutes and practiced firing at ground targets. The aircraft approached at as A6 40 4? degrees and fired 2 or 3 rounds with their aircraf 160 aircraft repeated the practices several times aid 2 1f 45 minutes. 20 and 21 November. No flights were made. 22 November. A Li-2 took off at 1200. 24 November. At 0820, 12 MiG-15s or U-MiG-15s were observed on the runway. One I\iG-15 or U-MiG-15 each took off at 0925, 0928 and 0932 and made a local flight of about 12 minutes duration. Individual swept-back jet fighters also took off at 0940, 0942 and 0914 and headed e^st. Their landings were not observed. 25 to 29 Tovember. There was no air activity. I__ --ICommert. It is believed that Peenemuende airfield is still occuried by a naval fighter regiment. After 10 November, more intensive air activity was observed including take-offs by individual Fircraft and elements of two, air-to-ground firing etc. The twin-engine aircraft which were repeatedly mentioned in previous reports are probably used as target re'resentation for AA guns mounted on naval vessels end emplaced along the coast.
