Building. 32 new cranes of 5-ton capacity are to be

the port inspection party was not very thorough in
their inspection on this trip. They did not check all of the cabins as 25X1
they usually do. The inspection was more strict before the ship sailed
but was still carried out in a superficial manner.

This port will be deep enough to receive ships of heavier tonnage; the
port of Constants is only 30 feet in depth.
4. The following vessels were in ports
a. The VINCENZ0, loading 2,500 tons of wood for Naples,
b. The RMOLO, loading 1,200 tons of wood for Nice.
c. Two or three Turkish vessels, some unloading cement, others loading
wood.
d. One Soviet vessel of 8,000 to 9,000 tons, loading wood.,
e. Various Finnish and Soviet tankers loading petroleum.
