1. A Soviet Air Force hospital was housed in the former training.
camp of a German postal'service which was located on. the southern
town limits of KO NIGS.sfUS.TERH.AUSJi' (i 53/V 02). A cupola-shaped
building; containing low-pressure chambers, centrifugal c., .tubers
and dropping devices for the training of dive-bomber pilots had
been established there in 1944. This building was surrounded
by a board fence in January 1949 and strictly separated from the
hospi'ti. The technical equipment was reconditioned and two-week
courses have been held there since February 1949. Laj RUBINSCHE1C.
was the instruction director. He was assisted by a major (med)
and a captain (eng4)
2. Fifteen to twenty officers, the lowest rank being a first lieu--
tenant,. participated in these courses. They had a special pass
issued by a PO9':`DA1;- ( 53/Z 63) headquarters which authorized. them
to enter the cupola building. aj 3UBUNSCHEK frequently left for
POTSDAM.
3, It was observes; that one or two officers of each course -:,,ere car-
ried on stretchers from the cupola building to the adjoining hos-
pital where they lodged separated from the other patients.. In
most cases they were taken away by an ambulance two days of Eer
their hospitalization.

4. A new course was started in the cupola building. Four. or five
officers, including majors and colonels were daily driven to
the building
