1. On 9 April 1951, there was no flying at Staaken 53/i 65) airfield
between 1 and 3 and 8 and 11 p.m. although the visibility :las good.
There was no flying on 10 hpril between 2 and 5 p.m. and on 11 April
from 1 to 3 p.n. It was rainin: durin:: nose neriods.

and practiced local flying until 7 a.m. The weather uns rood.

line engines, and two-seater cockpits with a weapon pointing to the rear
;ere seen at the field. There was no f1yin7. Local residents said that
new aircraft arrived recently at the field. *

6omment. The !)taaken airfield has been occupied by one ground attack
regiment and an air trans2ort squadron.
The )revious
location of this regiment has not leen determined. Since large-scale exor-
cises were held between 11 and 111 ,,pril 1251 by the Southern Ftr Corps to-
gether with a ground attack division under the comand of the fighter corps
headquarters stationed in Tittenberg, a ground nttnck5OX1 -HUN/
regiment was ten orarily transferred totaal.len during these exercises. Ground
attack regiments stationed in Roinsorf, 5taaken, and Jrandenburg-Industriehafen
