returned at 1720 hours, pulling seven empty cars

trains composed of 22 cars full of soldiers,
15 passenger cars, 11 tank cart, and six gondolas-.
Westbound rail traffic, Baku to Dzhulfa: Two

containing one crane, planks, and stones.
Marked activity was observed in the Garai
sector. The number of night patrols has been
increased. The repair and. construction of
a road between Dizdar (possibly the previously
repotted but unlocated Dizdarvi),and Aghche
(possibly Aehtche,'39-01N, 48-25E) is now
completed and trucks are now using this road.
About 700 woman took partin a big meeting
opposite Iranian Garmi. At theconclusion of
the meeting, speeches were delivered. The
meeting WAS under the supervision of two officers,
three soldiers, and four civilians.
Road traffic: Five trucks carrying planks moved
from Gaduk (38,35N, 48-20E) towards Omstomnok
and one truck with unidentified load moved from
the village of Cloose to the Clooee border post.
Road traffic: Five trucks loaded with white sacks
moved from the village of Gaduk to Ometomnok,
Kizilissa (38-33N, 48-30E) and Kalaputi (38-48N,
.48-25E). After unloading, they returned to '
Gaduk.

One truck carrying 16 soldiers arrived at the
Kalaputi post. Two jeeps arrived-at the same
time. The new areivals gathered at the guards'
resthouse. Sixteen saddled horses were observed
standing behind the resthouse.

Eastbound road traffic, Masjed Lahalleh to Astara:

armed soldiers, and a few gunny sacks with un-
known contents; two armed sergeants riding bi-
cycles.
Westbound road traffic, kasjed Lahalleh to the last

One jeep and one auto went from the Astara Border
Guard HQ toward Bagchen Sareh.7he occupants in-
spected the border area, One jeep and one auto
carrying seven civilians visited Khoshkeh
Dahanch (not located) and the occupants care-
fully examined the border region.
One officer, two sergeants, three soldiers, and
five civilians went toward Bagchen Sareh and
visited the area bordering onjran.
Three officers accompanied by five civilians
came to the frontier bridge at Astara and from
there carefully examined the coast and Iranian
Astara.

The vessel Gabardinka arrived oarrying 475
tons of cement and anti-locust insecticide.
She carried 21 crew members.
The vessel Ewa arrived at Nau Shahr (36440N,
51-31E) carrying 197 tons of sesame and cnmin
seeds, and sailed for the USSR,
