1. The Kostryn (Xuestrin) Wystruo (Insterburg) railroad line is standard gauge
single track as far as Gerdawy (Gerdauen), except for the stretches Nostrzyn
to Pila and Olsztyn (Allenstein) to Kerins (ltarschen), which are standard gauge
double track,

2, Bydgoszcz (Bromberg) station is equipped with a shunting station, omprising
at least 12 sidings (Abstellgleise) and 14 shunting lines; a d(Ablaufberg);
w.
a rail yard shop (Bahnbetriebswerk); a main coaling station; a ocomotive repair
shop; a car yard shop (Wagenbetriebswerk ); and a turntable, water tower, etc..
Bydgoszcz is a class 1 station. Polish "pilots" have referred to a factory in
Bydgoszcz where railroad locomotives are built, but it is not in the immediate
vicinity of the station.
3. Malaczewice station is now equipped with a main coaling station. The railway line
from Malaczewice through Terespol to Brest Litovsk/West is double tracked. One
track is standard gauge, the other is broad gauge.
4. On 10 February an SP Brigade arrived in Poznan with a train consisting of Wohnwagen
(railroad cars set up as living quarters). These oars housed a Russian control
unit of two officers and two enlisted men, and one car and its occupants was being
left at each of the important Polish stations on the Brest Litovsk route. Another
train left Berlin/Lichtenberg at the same time to cover the Gerdawy route in the
same way.
