Outside the entrance to Kola Inlet, two minesweepers were seen
.apparently of T 301 class. A cruiser?north-
east course?was observed going up under Kildin Island. Due to
misty weather the details were not clear, but it is believed 50X1-HUM
that it belonged to the Chapaev class like the cruisers later
seen in Vayenca Bay.
It was impossible to see the naval shipyard at Kildin Isl3nd50X1-HUM
the steep cliffs on Cott' sides or tne p7r
prevented any outlook ahead plus bad visibility.

t Tyuva Bay. Here a submarine was observed
leaving the bay.
The submarine had no snorkel.
4. In Vayenga Bay, two cruisers of the Citl!.paym clas: -.ere seen at
anchor. At the end of the bay was the hull of a cruiser--
somewhat lancer than the Chapaev class, A barge workshop
covered the midship of this hull and gave off clouds of smoke
and steam. The paint on the hull was even?the color some?
what darker than that of tne cruisers. Six small vessels were
anchored next to each other a little further south in the bay.
5. Six seaplanes were observed in the slips at the naval airport,
also a small patrol boat at the floating dock.
