Pumphouse (water) construction for Shell Refinery showing Benoto rig on
right, which consists of a hollow tube projected down into bay and
a derrick which lowers a bucket with jaws down into tube removing
sand, silt, etc to prepare bottom for pumphouse supports. The
jaws shown in black on right of picture operate similar to
mechanical catch basin cleaners used by City of New York to clean
street sewers.
