SUBJECT: Monthly Report - August 198L-i
Conference and Training
1. During the month of August 1983 there were 22 groups with a
total attendance of 692 in conference and training activity
I This compares with a total attendance of 20 groups
wi a e ce of 573 during the month of August 1982. There are
28 groups with an estimated attendance of 619 scheduled during the
month of September 1983.
Support
2. Five persons have completed training for the recently
initiated CPR Program I I are qualified for administering
CPR and using the Robert aw Resuscitator. The names and telephone
extensions of trained individuals will be posted on the bulletin
boards in their work areas so that they may be contacted and respond
to a medical emergency prior to the arrival of the local Rescue
Squad.

9. Our "Trend Report" worksheet, which
reflected that with 91% of the fiscal year 25X1
funds are 91% obligated. A similar situation occurred ast year
when 83.3% of the year had passed, 83.3% of our funds had been
obligated.
10. tional FY1983 FAN suballotments have recently been
added to accounting processes. This brings the total to 50
separate accounts totaling more than $18 million. Eleven (11)
of the accounts represent 3-year national program funds. This
compares to 46 FAN accounts in FY1982 totaling $13 million.
11. On 17 August, a Wang Technician came tol to 25X1
inctnll a second disk drive giving backup capability for 25X1
the Alliance System. During the installation, serious aamage
occurred to both the old and the new disk packs, and all
information, except for that copied on diskettes, was lost. On 23
August new heads in the disk drives were installed, and the old
software was reloaded, enabling us to use the system on a limited
basis. The latest software was to be loaded on 29 August, making
the system fully operational again.
