We recently completed a review of Central Intelligence Agency
consultants to determine who might properly be classified as Independent
Contractors, and have determined that your Intermittent Consultant
contract should be converted to this status. As a result of this
conversion, a great deal of routine internal paperwork will no longer be
necessary.
The contract and benefits for an Independent Contractor are the
same as that of a Consultant. We will continue to pay you a fee of
for any day worked or any portion thereof. All security
clearances issued to you by this Agency will continue to remain in
effect.
The effective date for your conversion to Independent Contractor
will be 1 October 1983. Attached for your signature is the formal
contract.
