PEMODICAM4 Koks i khimiya# 1952, Nr 10t pp 27-30 (USSR)
ABSTRACT: In view of the variability of the size distribution of coke
which could not be explained by the ooking technology, the
accuracy of the-datermination of the aize 41stribution of coke
using meahanised screens with aquare mash was investigated.
It wac established that due to the prIsmatic struoture of coksjr-
soreening on square mash soreens 4oes not give a correct
picturo of the size distribution of ooke. About 15~ of lumps
from the fraction 60-80= finds Its way Into the 60-40=
fraction. This value In not constant and depends on the
structure of the coke. In parallel dete=inall"lons of the size
distribution of ooke, deviations "r. the 440= fraction amount
to 2.5~, while the results for thq -40= fraotion were more
aicurate, In large coke sizes about 341,~, of all 1=ps possess
the coefficient of "columnarity" (ratio of height to width) of
L.1-1-3 and of 1.3-1.5. There are 4 figures and 4 tables.

T 1 1.2 Solving Boolean equation,systems
-.110DICAL: Aplikaeo matematiky, v. 7. no. 4, 1962, 265 271
The article. mainly based on Vostern publications,
indicates the use of Boole&n algebras in the synthesis of logical
networks; describes one of the well-known algorithms Zor practical
colution of a system of Boolean equations with n unknowns; =2 lists
as an example, the complete solution of a 3oolean equation with one
u-t-danown. Tho possibility of using Bool *ean algebx:as in logical do-
sign is expluined vith the aid of four examples where logic"l not-
works are trAnsformed from one into another form, where the state
of a memory element at a given time (t + 1) is described depandent
on its previous state at the original time (t), wid where correla-
tions of transition codes have to be formulated. It is then shown
that e4dch system of Boolean equations can be expressed by a sinele
canonical equation
