The problem has been previously investigated in Ref 2 and 3, among others. The results of these two investigationn do not agree because Chernina (Ref 2) did not take the flow conditions completely into account. In the present paper, the material of' the plate is assumed to he rigid -plastic without hardening and to be subject to the Mises-Tresca plasticity conditions. The radial and tangential bending moments are 1.1 and N respectively.
