educated 2pecialists who are able to carry on the scientific
and pedag,)gical work in their specialty. It is further
complainei that far too much help is given to the students
in preparing their theses, ant] thint their knowlpdFo of for-
eign languages is very poor. This again is due to the
disadvantageoua "care" displayed not only by his scientific
leader but also by other meribers of the scientific collective.
All deficiencies, accord:,ng to the author, are connected
with the fact that the student-aspirant must by all me.ins
prepare find defend his dissertation in the course of 3 years.
This was the decisive factor, but the students' general
theoreti,;al, methodical and special training suffered from it
considerably.
To avoid these and other deficiencies the author recommends
that the responsibility be increased not only of the students
and their scientific leaders, but also of the councils and
directors of vuzes as well as that of the various ministries
involved.
The E.rticle emphasizes :he great demands to be placed before
the grac.uates, and that thoir training as scientific rorkers
should Ine completed with the 6.issertation.

he is to serve as a guide and assistant. A.,cording to
regulationfi the number of students attached to one lender

Abstract : Blood obtained during an anaphylactic shock (ShK) often re-
mained liquid for hours or days. The addition of thrombokinase
to this blood (I; brain extract) produced a coagulation of the
blood (BC) within 6 1/2 to 30 seconds. CaC12 did not accelerate
coagulation, with the addition of I, it did. Prothrombine
time read -- within the range of: 6 1/2 to 8 1/2 seconds, i.e.,
the content of prothrombine was bardly dLecreaaarl. Me content
of fibrinogen decreased in 5 out of 9 tests. The content of
heparin during shock, waB considerably higher. It ruLy b(i

ABS~TCT: The effect of operating parameters on the main characterist.ics c-f Lurt)ojet
engines has been investigated on tile ground t at a 11-km altitude aL neax-sonic and
supersonic flying speeds~and at great altitudes. rhe various parameters for individ-
ual operating conditions are demonstrated. Speciiic thrust, fuel. consumpLion, and
weight are considered to be the main parameters, and their interrelationshJps alc
analyzed and graphically represented. As shown, the air consumption i.ncrel.ses anLl
the specific thrust decreases with increased speed. The variable-georietry requiremcnt
for a multirange aircraft engine is due to the diffei-ent effects of tile collipressor's
pressure and air-intake temperature at various altitudes and speeds. 17his is achieved-
by the use of an air-intake duct of variable geometry, as on the Concorde. T "I e
principles of the J75-15, J93, and J79-17 turbojet nozzlea are shown. Fron, tile in-
vestigation it Is concluded that with modern multirange aircraft engines, instead of
being able to use f(jel-metering and undamped controla, it is necessary to control all

TEXT: The authors measured the capacitance C ELnd series resistan-
ce rs of diodes prepared by fusion and diffusion metliods, in order
to specify these parameters ir. tne equivalent circuit. The depend-
ence of the parameters on raw material, methods of preparation and
geometrical dimensions were ettidiect. Frequencies of measuremenL

resistance R were measured as functions of reverse voltage by a
bridge, iype 2T, accurate tD 0.2 nF. At 40 mc, a Q-meter was used
and at id)O wc each diode formed the complex ioad terminating a
waveguide. The standing wave ratio and the shift of the standing
wave minimum were measured. r s and U were calcuiated from the load-
