PURPOSE: This book is intended for technical, engineering, and
flight personnel in the Air Force, Civil Air Fleet, and the All-
Union Voluntary Society for Promotion of the Army, Aviation, and
Navy. It may also be used by students in flight and aviation-
technology schools.
COVERAGE: The book analyzes aerodynamic heating in supersonic air-
craft and resultant structural changes. Sources of heating are
studied, and data on new materials and coatings capable of with-
standing increased temperature loads are given, along with prob-
lems related to structural strength at high temperatures. No

TITLE: Effect of filler dispersity and grinding time on the
physicomechanical properties of polymers
PERIODICAL: Kolloidnyy zhurnal, v. 24, no. 6. 1962, 742-748
TEXT; Thermomechanical curves were plotted for Novolac phenol formaldehycN
resin K-18 (K-18), polyetyrenet and polyethylene mixed with various
quantities of iron powder with dispersity between I and 17 M 2/g - Results:
Even small additions (30%) of coarse iron powder accelerate the setting
of Novolac. With large additions (70%) the material loses its plasticity,
becoming elastically solid and thermally stable as a result of V
structuralization. The effect of the filler increases with dispersity.
In polyethylene the flow point is only raised by large additions (80%).
Structuralized polyethylene remains highly elastic above the melting point
of pure polyethylene. With 90% addition the material loses its
plaaticity and the structure is more ordered. Increased dispersity has

ABSTRACT: The cycle of development of the above mentioned type of parasite
of the sturgeon spawn is only partly known (Ref 1.2). In order
to be able to fill this gap the author studied its earliest
stages of development, which are understood (Refs 3,4), The
author found the mentioned stages in the ovocytes of Acipenser
ruthenue in zhe third stage of maturity (Ref 5).. The eggs of
Ac1122ERer ruthenus In case of being befallen by the parasite
distinguish themselves from the healthy ones only by darker
color and larger size (1,5 - 2 mm compared with 1,3 mm). The
enclosed parasites (Fig 1) look like planula-like larvae of
two layers with a size of O~5 - 2.5 mm,, The bigger larvae are
bent and have inflations for the futura kidneys. From sections

without damaging It (Fig 2). Around the larva is a capsule
separating it from the yolk of the egg, Both layers of the larva
are formed from cylindricai epiLhelium,, Their nuclei take the
following positions; in the external layer in the distal part;
in the internal layer in the basal part.. The nuclei of the.
cells are round or oval, Some of them contain 2 nucleoli. each,.
Mitoses occur In both 1-ayerB, The cells of the external layer
have lashes (Figs 5 Ij L). Between the two cells and fastened
onto the internal layer are spindle-shaped interstitial cells
(Figs 3V, D), Desoxyribonucleic acid is localized in the nuclear
chromatine,. Its amount is about the same in both layers. It is
also present In the nucleoli and in the cytoplasm. A particu-
larly large amount is found in the nucleoli and in the inter-
stitial cells,-Yrom--the distribution of the granulae which
contain acidic muoo-polyeaccharides the author draws the con-
clusion that the larva shows a reverse position of the seed
leaves: the Internal layer of the cell is the ectoderm, whereas
the external layer with lashes - represents the endoderm. This
opinion is contrary to Lipin's viev (Ref 1), At the end of the
