(Blektroprivodylpodachi stankov s magnitny-mi i polupro- vodnikovymi usilitelyami, Russian) PERIODICAL: Stanki i Instrument, 1957, Vol 28, Nr 6, PP 7 10 (U.S.S.R.) kBSTRLCT: In the drives of machine tool feeds electric direct current motors~ are at present frequently used the revolutions of which can be reduc- ed,to I : 50 and more of the normal number by a change of amperage , by means of atransformer. However, a rotating transformer is very up much room, and causes a considerable amountof; expensive, takes , notice. These disadvantages are particularly marked in the case of machines of medium size where the main drive.--is effected by means of alternating current and the transformer is the only one.used. A. simple and reliable electric drive is obtained by means of a direct ' current motor with a magnetic amplifier, a type which is.being used with great success in the U.S.S.R. and in.other countries. It costs about half as much, it is more simple and~has no rotating parts. The development of the production of semiconductor triodes and the increase of their efficiency up to 10 - 30 W make it possible to use.them with success in connection with magnetic amplifiers within thesystem of controllable electric devices. The testing of such an electric drive on the test bench is de- Card 1/2 f ~ ; I- - - - - , - ------------ 0 0 o a 4-0 0-0-w-e-w-w-w-w- 0 so,* o 0 0 0 o so 0 0 a 0 U Is $4 is 16 It 16 a At 0 41 44 In o It . -J., OS 0 1 A- 2U- -,U4 -321 Is&-. The Ga wave sinks in proportion to therise of PH ~n the result of hydrolysis;-it soes not change at pH = 5.35 to 6.35 but sinks again at PH above 6.35. It is recommended to determine Ga in ores on a KV1 background at pH 5.35 to 6.35. .7he determination is possibln at Ga contents of l/. and mom Al does not interfere vith the de- ~termination, Zn does. Gang technology is not:only, applied on metal-cutting equipment, but also in other fields of production. Thus two, types,of,casting chamber designs have been introduced, the interchangeable part of which is a multi-position press mold. Gang technology is also introduced~in wood-working shops (Plant im. Universitet. Vestnik. Seriya III. Fizika, astronomiya, no. 29 1966, 14-20 TOPIC TAGS: semiconductor research, electrooptic effect, magnetoabsorption effect,~ absorption band, quantum field theory, ABSTRACT: The.question of light absorption by semiconductors placed in external par- allel electrical and magnetic fields in the area of the edge of the main absorption band (direct transitions) is considered., General equations' for the'absorption coef- ficient for permissible and forbidden transitions are derived for use,in obtaining known formulas for the absorption coefficient in the absence.of external fields, as well as for the electrooptical and magnetoabsorption effects. It is shown that in a weakelectrical field (with:the quantized magnetic field conserved) the absorption co-, efficient can be presented inthe form of.three members, one of which coincides ex- actly with the absorption coefficient for.lighti.when there are no external fields, while the other two are oscillating in nature, depending on the energy ofthe photon L_ when electrical and magnetic fields are.constant. :The author expresses is thanks to- Card 1/2 UDc: 539.293 : 535-34
