The response dynamics to violent and we~- te'_ stiig stimulatiori -at various phases of excitability trace changes (absolute and ralative reflactory, super-normal, subnormal) has beew stated to closoly resomble the picture of parabiosis de%'elopment. Namefy, with larger intervals betwe;n the stimulations the testing stimulation response corresponds to its strength (norm); at certain somewhat shoiler interval the amplitude of the response to a violent stimulation increases, tile weak one being vice versa decreased (prodromal stage); in further shortening of the iater- val the amplitude of responses to a weak and violent stimulation becomes equal ~Ievel- ling.stage); when the interval is-still shorter a weak stimulation'produces a raores~gni- ficau response than the violent one (paradoxal stage), and, at last, with very short inter vals both weak and violent stimulations fall to evoke any response (inhibition stage). Recently, the influence of metals of group VIII on the ductility of molybdenum has been extensively studied, This work'studies the influence of iron, cobalt and nickel on the structure and technological ductility of vacuum-melted molybdenum. It is found that alloying with iron-group metals has a modifying influence on the structure, facilitating an increase in the solubility of carbon, the formation of a developed subst-ructure and more even distribution of molybdenum carbides throughithe volume of the metal, increas- ing-the technolog:,.cal ductility and reducing the cold-shortriess threshold. Results of the practical application of this method under the conditions of Tul'ska-1ra Oblastare presented in this report. On the-given - 'erritory, located in the Central Rassima highlands, foci of tularermLa of the rm!adow-field type (2] are. widely distribt~ted, the princin. al carrier. being the ordinary f ie14 mouse and the long-time~pTesenrer of the causative agent, the tick D. pictus. In spitee of substantial changes which have taken place in the method of conducting agriculture, these foci continue to exist; although as a result of the mass vaccination o2 the population, instances of disease arrong the people are ektrerrely rare (1]. During 1968 to 1971 regular organized zo'ologic-parasitological work was carried.out in the Oblast. A total of 25,832 traps were set up in the fields by workers in the Division of EspeciUaly Dangerous In-fections during the tine indicatel; 497 cubic meters of strav were displaced; 84 hectares of the control areas were dug up and as a result 2,199 ordinary field vice -were caught.
