Nitric and flydrofluoric Acids"
Moscow, Zashchita Metallov, Vol 9p No 3, Jul-Aug 75, pp .41,37-419.
Abstract: This article studies the influence of ccocent:vation, composition
and temperature of the solution an the general and corro-
sion of EI-435 wid 1:1-4378 allo),s in a mixture of nitric and 1,,)-drofluoric
acids. The specimens were produced by open indLlCti0l) ITICI(ing a9d vacutmn-
arc remelting. Both general and intercrystalline CIMOSLO.11 Of hoLli 3110~,~
were observed. The vacuum arc remelted metal corrode.% i4pifi.i.*antly More
strongly in all cases and has a signiflewitly highei- towidiency tc*ard inter-
crystalline corrosion than the Open inelted metal. An in~xease in the concen-
tration of F- ions causes greater general corrosion at ;ul,l coni:elitrat ions of
nitric acid studied.
