IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES NovEMBER 7 (legislative day, NOVEMBER 4), 1985 Mr. P$o%MIEE introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Governmental Affairs A BILL To reduce the use of limousines by Government officials. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3 That section 1344 of title 31 is amended to read as follows: 4 'T 1344. Passenger motor vehicle and aircraft use 5 "(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law unless 6 enacted in specific contravention of this section, an appro- 7 priation may be expended to maintain, operate, and repair 8 passenger motor vehicles or aircraft of the United States 9 Government only to the extent that such vehicle or aircraft is 10 used to provide transportation for official purposes.
