Dear Jeeb,
I appreciate your note and proposal regarding extension of
a Metro service to Dulles International Airport. We are
currently in negotiation with the developers of the Reston
facility and the potential for our expansion and a long-term
presence in Reston is uncertain. Consequently, I don't believe
the letter that you suggest would be helpful or appropriate at
this time.
I do wish you success with your efforts to expand the Metro
service and hopefully in the future I can assist in some way.

SUBJECT: Note from Jeeb Halaby
1. Rental charges on the facilities which we currently
occupy in Reston are fixed under the existing lease through
1994. The chances of further expansion of these facilities now
appear to be minimal and I don't feel that it would be wise or
prudent to offer a voluntary increase in the rent which we
currently pay. If the Metro expansion to Dulles does occur and
we extend our lease in 1994, I'm sure the developer will
attempt to negotiate an increased rental amount based on the
enhanced property value.
2. I recommend that the attached letter be forwarded to
Mr. Halaby.
