Dear Mr. Burr:
This is a final response to your 6 August 2003 Freedom of Information
Act (FOIA) request for four specific records pertaining to the Sino Soviet
dispute. Item 4 of your request was provided in our earlier correspondence to
you. The remainder of your request was processed in accordance with the
FOIA, 5 U.S.C. � 552, as amended, and the CIA Information Act, 50 U.S.C.
� 431. Our processing included a search for records as described in our
acceptance letter that were in existence as of and through the date of that
letter, 23 August 2003.
We have completed a thorough search for records responsive to your
request, located material, and have made the following determinations:
Enclosed are two documents (MORI 1033690 and 1033708) that can be
released in segregable form with deletions made on the basis of FOIA
exemptions (b)(1) and (b)(3). Please note that MORI 1033690 encompasses the
timeframe Autumn 1959 to Summer 1960, rather than the Autumn 1957-1959
timeframe requested. No document, as described, for the latter timeframe was
located.

The cost associated with processing your request amounts to $14.80.
This consists of reproduction of a total of 248 pages at a cost of $0.10 per page.
