Week Ending 2 June 1978
1. (U/AIUO) Recruitment:
a. Recruiter was in Fredericksburg,
Virginia on 24 May to interview about 80 people who had
responded to his advertisements for clericals and
70 remained for testing. Of that number,
about 30 were stenos and typists; the remainder were guards,
couriers, and security aides for -
b. Recruiter reports good progress in
25X1A obtaining candidates for Project Opportunity (hire the
disadvantaged). As of 31 May, he had applications from
about 45 people. continues to see new candidates
and earlier last week even went to the extent of delivering
25X1A application forms to the home of one potential applicant.
2. (U) Handicapped Program: OP/Handi-
capped Coordinator, attended an Operations Center arranged meeting
on 30 May at which a representative from the Department of Health,
Education and Welfare briefed the group concerning the problems
in dealing with blind employees and also discussed ways of
accommodating them on the job. Admiral Turner was at the meeting
and expressed his support.

7. (U) Suggestion Box: Two suggestions were received
thi:; week. One was sent to the Director of Central Intelligence,
the other was forwarded to OL/Logistics Services Division and
OS/Safety Branch simultaneously. The total number of suggestions
recEived since the program began on 15 June 1977 is 52.
8. (S) Rehired. Annuitants: See attached report.
COMING EVENT:
Photo Exhibit: A strong interest has been shown in the
forth-omi gn employees Photo Exhibit scheduled for 12 June
through 14 July. Sixty. (60) employees have requested entry
blanks and 27 have already been. returned. Last year's exhibit
had photographic work of 23 employees. The employee photo
exhibit is a joint venture of the Fine Arts Committee and the
IAA Photo Club..
