Dear Senator Baker:
Mr. Leon Jaworski, Special Prosecutor, Watergate Special
Prosecution Force, Department of Justice, by letter dated 19 February
1974 requested that the original tape of the 22 July 1971 Cushman/Hunt
conversation be made available to his office for analysis and presenta-
tion to the Grand Jury. On 22 February 1974 our General Counsel,
Mr. John S. Warner, advised Mr. Jaworski that we had contacted you
regarding his request.
I would appreciate it if you would make arrangements with
Mr. Ja,wor ski for delivery of the tape directly to him or, if you prefer,
return it to us for delivery to him. I am sending a copy of this letter
to Mr. Jaworski for his information.
