MEMORANDUM FOR MA RECORD - PROJECT CHIGOE
1. Based on telephone conversation with , (b)(3)
the Contractor this date was authorized to proceed on the
labor and maintenance necessary to bring the aircraft up
to flying condition. Bill stated that Captain Murphy is
cranked up to furnish all repair parts other than the engines;
Dick Warren will furnish the two engines.
2. Reminded Dave that we still need a priority listing
of GFP items.
3. Dave stated that in the meantime, and relying on
being covered later, they had already proceeded to do some
work on the engines. He stated also that they had accumulated
cost for this work separately from the main effort on Phase II.
A. I told Dave that the contract for Phase II would be
JG-1967, and that JG-1968 would be the contract number for
Aircraft Maintenance. Since the bulk of the material will be
GFP, the contract will probably be Cost Type with a work order
arrangement. He said he would furnish a copy of standard
coverage which they have used very successfully. We may con-
sider something which would permit up to perhaps a $2,500 ex-
penditure at the discretion of the contractor, with greater
amounts requiring approval by the Contracting Officer.
