Raul Boa ejr, the son of the Minister of Foreign Beleticns, wee sent to tte USSR-ler1963 on a scholarship from the Ministry of Industries to study Economics ! in a five veer course at the University of Mbscow. 2. In late 1964, the acc was notified through the Ministry of Blucation that Raul Boa, Jr, was having problems,. Young Roa did not want to study and war spending rost of his time drinking and carousing with Soviet women. Me was sent back to Cuba, was tried and received a suspended sentence when he pro- mised to reform. He returned to the USSR to continue his scholarship studies. 3. Liter in 1965 Raul Roa,Jr again had serious problems in the USSR Again a message was sent to the Ministry of Illucation about his conduct, and the GOC requested he be sent back to Cuba. This time, however, the Soviets refused since according to the Soviet officials, this time he not only would not study but in addition to his drinking he was having affairs with four or five dif- ferent women and got, one of them 1:regnant. The Soviets related they had tried him and sentenced him to a rehabilitation eeme in Siberia for two years. Later, the Soviets notified the GOO thee Roe. hat' eeeared from the rehabilitation camp and had nude his way back to //Decoy, only to be eepteeed and ehipped back to Siberia.
