My management team and I are definitely interested in pursuing the option of (b)(6)
creating a Facebook page. There are still a few things I have to work out on my
end before actively engaging, but it shouldn't be too much longer. I'll advise
my management that facebook.com/CIA is reserved for our use.
As for fake CIA pages, I know there was one out there a few weeks ago. I'm
not sure if one of my colleagues took action on that. If I learn they haven't,
I'll be in touch to request its removal.

Hi
The email below is generated when a sub-agency request to create a facebook
page from the apps.gov website that the GSA has setup.
Facebook has negotiated an agreement with the Federal Government to allow
them to use facebook, its available on apps.gov and I've attached it. Once
signed, it covers all sub-agencies and organizations like the CTC. The CIA has
not yet signed this agreement though 29 other federal agencies including the
DNI, DOJ, and the White House have. We'd love to have the CIA sign the
agreement as well. Note that signing the agreement doesn't mean you have to
create a facebook page, it just allows your agency to create one if they want
to.
We have reserved facebook.com/CIA for when you do create a page and are happy
to work with your office to remove any fake CIA pages that may be out there.
