described. The treatment) consisting of'ganoous carbonitriding of tho surface of
the parts, imparts a high degree of lua-dnoss to them. The thrust ball boarings WA
front suspension bushings of the "Hoak-vich" automobile and the aoaling rings of
DT-54 tractor were made of iron powder having a forrits structure with 10--15"0' of
pearlite. The parts were subjected to the following propeass heating at 850C in,an.
atmosphore of an endothermic gas + 3% of ammonia; tempering by, transferring the
parts cooled to 83M from the furnace chamber into oil preheated to 18W. The
structure and hardness of.the materials thus treated were satisfactory and withstood

APSTRACT: The diffusion coefficients at various temperatures weredetexmined.
by'the diffraction miiaj~o m6thod for the pairs of liquids:
a) o-xylene-p-xylene, b) o-xyleno-menitylene, and c) 1.36 m
solution of p-dichlorobenzerio in ahloroborizone-clilorobeti-.onc.
Based on the variations of density and viscosity in relation
to the temperature found for the individual components,
the values for the diffusion coefficients were calculated
and compared with thofie found experimentally. Diver,,,encies
remain within the limit of error. There is an approximate
exponential dependence between diffusion coefficient and
