Our web developer informed us yesterday that the website outage was due to error in the code and not an attack

phone conversation that the issue was not due to an attack against the web page, but in fact an error in the coding that

Hello,
As you are aware, the FOIA.CIA.GOV site has been hit earlier in the month by Denial of Service attacks
This note is to inform you that the FOIA.CIA.GOV site has been attacked ast night, Thursday (June 19th),
around 9:30pm. The attack did take down the site. When you go to the site the only thing that you see is a page of unrecognizable
text. The site is completely unavailable.
)A/e are working with our current hosting company,
to restore the site to a previous version. So far, we have attempted to restore the server to two different snapshots from June, with

complete restarts of the server each time. Neither attempt was successful. Our next steps are to move farther back in time to May
