Nearly 100 reviews of books and other media appeared in the four issues Studies published this year. The largest number of works reviewed will be found in the “Intelligence Officer’s Bookshelf” compiled and reviewed by Hayden Peake and a few other contributors.
The “Intelligence Officer’s Bookshelf” appeared with Hayden’s byline for the first time 20 years ago, in Studies Vol. 46, No. 4 December 2002. The number of books Hayden has read in that time defies tabulation, because he reads a good deal more than he reviews—those Hayden has reviewed number just under 1,200.
His work will be richly evident in the PDF listing all books that have been reviewed in 2022. The titles contained in the list, with the exception of those appearing in this issue, are hyperlinked to the Studies issues in which they appeared on this site.
