Artifact Details
Yevgeniy was a foreign intelligence officer who produced a significant volume of information that had major impact on U.S. national security and foreign policy decision making. Due to concerns of probable exposure, CIA had to exfiltrate Yevgeniy to the United States on short notice. Early one morning, two CIA officers trudged through heavy snow as Yevgeniy was taking his dog out for his usual walk to the park. At that meeting, CIA officers had a short time to inform Yevgeniy that he was in imminent danger and that he, his unwitting family, and his dog had to be brought to the United States in order to save them.
