An OSS pocket knife with a wooden handle, slightly opened to show its blade.

The “Free Thai” movement was comprised of Thai student volunteers from the US that were led by the OSS.

This OSS paratrooper’s knife, issued to a member of the Free Thai Movement, went into the parachutist’s breast pocket for use in the event he landed in a tree and had to cut himself free of his parachute lines. The blade is spring activated to enable opening it with one hand.
