Under Donovan’s leadership, the OSS provided the U.S. government with intelligence about German efforts to develop atomic weapons and the plot to assassinate Hitler.

Gen. Donovan used this desk while he was Director of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during WWII.  OSS offices were located at 2430 E Street, NW, in Washington, DC.
