President Bush signs revised version of Executive Order 12333, which formally outlines the goals and duties of the Director of National Intelligence and places a powerful emphasis on inter-agency collaboration. It also reaffirms CIA's statutory authorities and its leadership in fields ranging from human intelligence to covert action abroad.
