SUBJECT Congressional Briefing Request
BRIEFING DATE : 9 A.M., Janaury 6 or 7, 1983 at Headquarters
REQUEST : We have two requests for,general update briefings on
several African countries.
1. Alison Rosenberg, the Senate Foreign Relation
Committee's senior advisor for African affairs, is
leaving shortly for a conference in Zimbabwe and would
like an overall briefing on Zimbabwe and Kenya. She
proposed coming to headquarters at 9 A.M. on either

2. Gardner Peckham, of the House Foreign Affairs Africa Subcommittee staff, has also requested an update on . r
Zimbabwe as well as on Mozambique and Tanzania.
Would it be possible to give a joint briefing on Zimbabwe
and then supply analysts to cover the other countries in separate
briefings?
