Dear Molly,

Can I volunteer at CIA?

Dear Retired Citizen,

We really appreciate your offer to volunteer at the CIA; however, the Agency doesn’t have a volunteer program. We do offer a variety of student programs and employment opportunities if you’re interested in pursuing a career with the Agency, which you can check out on our Careers section.

Although we don’t have volunteer opportunities, I encourage you to explore options with foundations that aid Americans and their families who have served their country. There are many, including: some that aid fallen CIA officers’ families; retired Agency, police and military K9s; or any number of fantastic organizations which provide aid to active duty military, veterans, and even CIA officers who suffer from PTSD.
