Grand Etang Lake is a crater lake located in a now-dormant volcano that created the island of Grenada. The lake is 530 m (1,740 ft) above sea level, 6.1 m (20 ft) deep, and 15 ha (36 acres) in area. The lake is the central attraction of the Grand Etang Forest Reserve, which was established in 1906 and is the largest protected area on the island. The lake is also on Grenada’s coat of arms.
