Pacific Yellowfin Tuna (Thunnus albacares), also known as Ahi and Kihada, can weigh up to 180 kg (400 lb) and grow to 1.8 m (6 ft) in length. Their lifespan is typically 6 to 7 years. An adult yellowfin tuna may be distinguished from other tunas by its long, bright-yellow dorsal fin and a yellow stripe down its side. Adult yellowfin tuna feed near the top of the food chain on fish, squid, and crustaceans. Image courtesy of NOAA.
