Pacific Whiting (Mercluccius productus), also known as Pacific Hake; weight – approximately .6 kg (1.4 lb); length – up to 0.9 m (3 ft); lifespan – around 15 years. Whiting feed on shrimp, krill, and pelagic schooling fish, such as eulachon and Pacific Herring. As Whiting grow larger, fish make up a greater part of their diet.
